Category Expiration Error

When users are logged in, they can still see my paid-for content even after category expiration. The only expiration message that appears is when they try to access their management area. I have a separate plugin called Sidebar Login which greatly enhances and eliminates hassle for user's login experience.
What I need to happen is for the paid-for content to disappear. And an email needs to get sent out to the user a week in advance and a day in advance of their account expiration.
